When frontline Kaiser healthcare workers show up, we do it to take care of our patients and our communities. Now, we have an opportunity to show up and take care of our fellow workers too. By coming together to improve our attendance 2% in the next six months, we can all secure a significant bonus at the end of the year and hold management accountable to better time off policies. Use this frame on your profile photo to show you support recognizing healthcare workers with California bill AB 650! Healthcare workers have been through a brutal year and faced dangerous working conditions. We've struggled with not enough PPE, long shifts with few breaks, and mental health trauma. Keeping healthcare workers in our jobs is critical. We are facing a future shortage of healthcare workers — and if we don’t support and retain caregivers, even more facilities will be short staffed. In the end, it’s patients who will suffer. The Health Care Worker Recognition and Retention Act AB 650 requires healthcare employers with more than 100 employees to pay bonuses to all non-executive employees who work during the pandemic. California often leads the way for pro-worker legislation, so we hope this will spread to other states because ALL frontline employees deserve bonuses that recognize our essential work! #SupportAB650 ... Recognize & Retain Healthcare Workers--Support California Bill AB 650! Healthcare workers have been on the front lines from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, putting ourselves and our families at risk in order to care for millions of patients. We deserve recognition for our efforts and sacrifices, and California healthcare companies are doing well financially. In 2020, Kaiser Permanente made $6.4 billion in profits, HCA made $3.7 billion, and dialysis clinic operator Fresenius made $2.5 billion. The Health Care Worker Recognition and Retention Act AB 650 would require healthcare employers with more than 100 employees to pay bonuses next year to all non-executive employees who work during the pandemic. California often leads the way for pro-worker legislation, so we hope this will spread to other states because ALL frontline employees deserve bonuses that recognize our essential work! #SupportAB650OPEIU - Office and Professional Employees International Union Engineers & Scientists of California Local 20, IFPTE AFL & CIO International Federation of Professional & Technical Engineers (IFPTE) seiu-uhw OPEIU Local 29- Legacy 3 OPEIU Local 30 Engineers & Scientist of California Local 20 Ifpte Aflcio & CLC ...
