For the last year, Kaiser has withheld information our Coalition has a legal right to access—information critical to protecting Coalition union members’ jobs and working conditions.
We challenged Kaiser at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and stood firm. The NLRB agreed with us, requiring Kaiser to provide the information we requested and notify Coalition union members that they will follow the law and do so.
What was Kaiser trying to keep from us?
The information wasn’t random. It goes to the heart of what we’re fighting to protect:
- Our jobs: Outsourcing work to virtual sitters and outside vaccination providers.
- Our future: AI and new workforce scheduling and payroll technology that could change how work gets done and affect the workers who do it.
- Our working conditions and patient care: Decisions about staffing, technology, and operations that affect our ability to do our jobs and care for our patients.
We have the right to know what’s happening to our jobs, and we won’t stand on the sidelines while decisions about our future are made.
As we prepare for 2027 bargaining, we stand united across our unions, regions, and workplaces to demand transparency, protect our standards, and hold Kaiser accountable.
When Kaiser withholds information, we push back. When our jobs and patient care are at stake, we stand together. In 2027, we bargain united.
90,000+ workers. One Coalition. One powerful voice.
