2023 NATIONAL AGREEMENT

After the largest healthcare worker strike in US history, we secured a landmark agreement that provides a framework for long-term solutions to the short-staffing crisis. This victory was delivered by the sheer grit, unwavering dedication, and unbreakable spirit of our Coalition union members. It is a victory well deserved. The 4-year contract covering 90,000 represented healthcare workers is in effect from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2027.

Raises & Bonuses

21% ATBs for all regions

  • 6% October 2024
  • 5% October 2025
  • 5% October 2026
  • 5% October 2027

Increase minimum wage:

  • CA: June 2024: $23/hr; June 2025: $24/hr; June 2026: $25/hr
  • Regions outside of CA: June 2024: $21/hr; June 2025: $22/hr; June 2026: $23/hr

$1500 ratification bonus (paid in 2023)

Staffing

  • Engages all UBTs in joint staffing models, plans, and budgeting by Aug 2025
  • Commits to reduce registry/traveler use
  • Proactively addresses vacancies
  • Restricts outsourcing and subcontracting
  • Increases funding for education and career development

2024-2027 PSP

  • Higher earning potential: Minimum payout of $1200 for meeting goals, up to $3750 if both performance and financial goals are met.
  • Streamlined goals: Goals set for all four years, giving frontline workers the best chance at full payout.
  • Accountability: Requirements for regular and transparent data.
