Kaiser has pocketed more than $11 billion in profits during the pandemic, yet time and again they have chosen to disrespect workers on the frontlines of caring for patients. We refuse to be divided. We refuse to be broken. We refuse to be shortchanged. Our patients are too important to allow Kaiser’s greed to undermine their care. We are calling on Kaiser to get back to the values that used to be their guidepost by investing in patients, in workers, and in our communities instead of just lining their pockets.

"We lost so many staff during the pandemic. We cannot get back to full staffing levels because Kaiser cannot compete with the signing bonuses and higher pay that other hospitals offer. Something has to change soon."

"Some people wait an hour to talk to me, only to hear that they can't see their doc for a month. It breaks my heart. Imagine telling that to a recently diagnosed cancer patient. KP needs to think like patients, not just business people."

"As a pharmacist, one error could cause disaster. Working at Kaiser Permanente has become frustrating and scary as the focus is on how fast we can push out prescriptions, not safety. This is not good for anyone; we need more staffing." #coalitionstrong #CKPU #frontlineworkerscare

Many KP departments saw staff cuts during the pandemic; now, patient volumes are rising. "In 22 years at KP, I have been through other emergencies. The response was not to staff down; we staffed up. This time should be no different."

“We give comfort & answers on the most difficult days of patients' lives, & need proper staffing to deliver that excellent care." #coalitionstrong #ckpu #frontlineworkerscare
